The imperative

Uses:

1. We can use the imperative to give a direct order.
 example : Stand up straight.

2. We can use the imperative to give instructions.
example : Open your book

3. We can use the imperative to make an invitation
example:  Come in and sit down. Make yourself at home.

4. We can use the imperative on signs and notice
example: Do not use

5. We can use the imperative to give friendly informal advice.
example: Don't go. Stay at home and rest up. Get some sleep and recove
